Some are established Shohin, others are prebonsai chosen because the important structural decisions are already visible. The photographs are part of the description: when buying a tree, you receive the individual specimen shown.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eSelected with a bonsai eye, not by size alone\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eSmall dimensions do not automatically make a good Shohin. I look first at the relationship between nebari, trunk, primary structure and eventual scale. A tree may be compact and still have little future; another may need several seasons of development but already contain the structure from which a strong Shohin can be built.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis collection changes as trees are sold, prepared or added.
